Right on Meşrutiyet Caddesi, in the Asmalımescit corner of Beyoğlu, The Marmara Pera is a city hotel on the European side of Istanbul. The Pera Museum is a few minutes' walk from the door, and a short walk downhill brings you to Galata Tower and the Istanbul Modern Art Museum. Pera Palace Hotel stands right next door, while the Grand Hotel de Londres and Richmond Hotel Istanbul are only a few steps further along.
On the way back to the airport, plan generously. Istanbul traffic can thicken quickly, and a transfer to Sabiha Gökçen means crossing one of the Bosphorus bridges, so set your departure pick-up with extra time to spare. The price stays fixed however long the drive takes.
