About Sarıyer
Sarıyer is a large district in the north of the European side, stretching along the Bosphorus up to where it opens into the Black Sea. The tulip gardens of Emirgan Park, the waterfront mansions (yalı) of İstinye and Yeniköy, Tarabya Bay and Rumeli Fortress are its landmarks on the strait. With the Kilyos beaches to the north and Belgrade Forest nearby, Sarıyer is a green, quieter area popular with those looking to escape the city bustle, and fish restaurants line its shore.
