About Bitez

Bitez is a calm bay on the peninsula's southern shore, just west of Gümbet. It is known for the mandarin orchards behind the beach – the Bodrum mandarin is one of the area's symbols. The bay's steady wind makes Bitez one of the peninsula's recognised windsurfing spots. A seaside promenade, beach clubs and waterfront cafés offer a quieter setting than neighbouring Gümbet, while the village of Bitez further inland keeps its traditional character.
